About Elle Sofe
Elle Sofe was born in 1984 in Guovdageaidnu (Kautokeino), Northern Norway.
Elle Sofe began acting at the Gálla nuoraid teater (Kautokeino Youth Theatre) group. Developing an interest in dance through the youth disco, she started composing her own dances.
On completing secondary school, Elle Sofe studied theatre and dance in Alta and Tromsø. Following the advice of her teachers, she embarked on dance studies at the Laban Centre, London, UK.
At the Laban Centre, Elle Sofe received technical training combined with choreographic work, as well as performance experience. She moved back to her hometown to develop her individual artistic ability and creativity as a choreographer.
Elle Sofe has a Master`s degree in choreography from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She now works as a freelance choreographer and dancer.
