Kristin Ryg Helgebostad has, since she finished Oslo National Academy of the Arts with a Bachelor’s in modern and contemporary dance in 2007, managed to achieve State art scholarship for young, newly established artists and to work with a list of unestablished and established choreographers and artistic collaborators. She has made four productions with the innovative duo Fiksdal/Lie, worked with Ingeleiv Berstad, Stine Isachsen, Sigurd Johan Heide, Karen Høibak, Mikalsen, Inger-Reidun Olsen, Kjersti Alveberg and Kjersti Engebritsen, and many more. She has also made her own works, entitled Narsitrist, Wordplay, Sort Genanse and Belle. The last two were collaborations with Norway’s only campanologist Laura Marie Rueslåtten, whereby Belle was performed on the roof of Oslo Town Hall to live bell-ringing. The critic Ida Lou Larsen has been described Kristin as “skilful, fun and versatile”. Kristin is now taking a masters degree in choreography at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
