Láhppon
Lost
Láhppon / Lost is an intensely physical performance, an echo of the Kautokeino-rebellion told through ballet.
This commissioned work is choreographed by Elle Sofe Sara and Hlin Hjalmarsdottir for the Norwegian National Ballet.
The Kautokeino Rebellion was a religious and political uprising that took place in 1852. It marked a turning point after years of conflict between the Sámi people and the Danish-Norwegian authorities — and it remains a story that resonates with ongoing struggles around the world.
The premiere took place at the Oslo Opera House October 31, 2025.
